Replacing the gas hose

Hi everyone. I’ve had a look through the forums but not sure there is an answer to the query I have. Our gas hose from the bottle is out of date so needs replacing. Is this something we can do ourselves? If so, what about the hose that takes the gas through to the hob?

I’ve found the gas hose kit on Campervanbits but I’m worried about doing it ourselves with it being gas.

If you can wire a plug you can change the gas hose. The rest of the gas circuit is metal piping. Just like at home.

My van is coming up to sx years old this year and I am sure I read somewhere that the hgas hose and regulator needs replacing at a certain timescale. Does anyone know when it needs replacing? Also is it just the hose or do I need to replace the regulator as well? Thanks Kirk

Is it easy to access the hose that runs through to the burners? or does that not need replacing? Is it just the hose that connects directly to the cylinder that I need to replace?

Unless your California is different there is no flexible hose to the burners. Just the hose from regulator to vehicle connection.

How old is your vehicle? those hoses have a 10yr lifespan in germany, only in order to get an Mot, they've now dropped that from the Mot tests so no more silver gas badge required. Meaning the hoses can now last longer.

It's a 2016 T6. So the only bit I have to worry about is the flexible hose from the regulator to the vehicle connection. Great news - thanks everyone!
