Hi, having had no problems at all with my roof, yesterday it failed to close after being up for the day at Brands Hatch. Eventually had to do a manual close ( first time ) .
Once home had a go and it did respond to close roof and lock it down . Tried the open roof process and it goes up but kept stopping so had to release and repress button, however it doesn’t go fully up ( around 95 per cent ) and doesn’t make the usual noise that get at the end of open and close. Now won’t close again.
Hope this makes sense !!
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated

Hello Peter,
I'm sorry, I can't help with your roof problem I'm afraid. Just wanted to say what a great day it was at Brands Hatch yesterday. Brilliant entertainment.

£14 for a portion of luke warm fish a chips was a bit of a shock though!

Forgot to mention that I have the elevating roof symbol flashing on the control display.

seems i am having the same problemroof stops when opening and closing
then it mentions 'start engine' on the screen
when engine is running the alarm starts after a few secondswhen i shut the engine down, i can open / close the roof a bit more
it took 2 times of starting the engine untlll it was fully open/ close
what was the matter with yours ? ( here easter holiday , so garage closed )

Normally you get that if the Leisure Batteries are low in power/voltage.

For those of you who don't know, if you ever get any problems with roof stuck or any other error say with the heater or fridge, you are able to access the hidden menu in your control panel as used by the VW Engineers.

Access as follows:

1. Hold down the centre of the rotary button together with the menu button (button below with the squares on it)

2. You will get the hidden menu.

3. Rotate the rotary button to get to "VW diagnose" and select this by pressing on the centre of the rotary button.

4. If no errors are present it will display "no errors"

5. If Errors are present then a list of errors will appear

6. Press the centre of the rotary button again to delete all the errors

7. Repeat process above just to check that errors have dissapeared!

8. Re-configure the time and date if neccesary.

Any problems should be resolved assuming these are Electronic and not Mechanical.

Error Codes from Control Panel.

1 = 1 = Pop-up roof

2 = 2 = Plumbing Heating

3 = 3 = Cool box Cooler

4 = 4 = Sewage wastewater

Thank you for that Welshgas, saved that onto my laptop.
