Roof switch fault

Hi,
I have an 06 California. When I lower the roof the ‘switch’ that registers that the roof is fully down seems not to register that fact and the alarm continues. I had it checked over in Fort William for safety and then had a long, intermittently noisy drive back to Nottingham. Today it is quiet and is registering the roof closed, but I know that if I open it - the same will happen.
Advice would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Manya

If your drive home was noisy - surely that was indicating that the roof wasn't fully down?

If you search for “roof sensors” you might find what you’re looking for. An ‘06 wouldn’t have audible roof alarm but perhaps if the roof control panel has been replaced it might. When you say ‘noisy’ did you mean the alarm chimes?

I'd read it as noisy due to wind noise rather than a chime going off.
