Scotchgard / Upholstery protector

I ultimately expect to retrim the seats in leather but thought it might be worthwhile buying a spray-can of this stuff off the internet to protect the Cali seats. Has anyone done the same? I was a little concerned about overspray. Grateful for any views.

Mine are scotchgarded. Proved to be "max proof" so far.

Have not got our van yet but we use the spray tins of scotch guard on our boat. It has cream carpets and so do it every few months. They have so far survived red wine, oil, make up, sun tan lotion etc.

Just be careful of overspray - have a piece of cardboard around where you are spraying otherwise you'll spend twice as long removing the dried on spray from where you didn't want it!

Oh and wear a mask and keep the area well ventilated otherwise you might loose some brain functionality!
