Should all these electrics be on show

This is under the passenger seat. Shouldn't there be a cover over it. Seems very exposed. Noticed it tonight when I found this in passenger footwell



Any idea what this is off as well

That is correct under the chair, we have also found numerous bolts and clips in our vans left over from the build. I have just put them in a drawer in case I ever find where they came from!

Wires are normal,
That looks like a paint scraper that takes Stanley blades,

Funnily enough we wondered the same thing about the exposed electrics under the passenger seat and were going to add it to a (very small) snag list for the vw dealer...

Our wires stick out much more than that

Ours wires hang down and touch the carpet!! Had to be careful with the rubber floor mat when putting it in place - didn't want to move them or force the mat under them
