Just to be clear, the £525 invoice was cancelled and I received £525 compensation. (This thread did get a bit long and complicated).You have the invoice cancelled which was your goal. Hopefully they'll avoid trying to fraudulently rip off anyone else now, so job done.
I'd be inclined to draw a line in the sand and move on - and enjoy your wonderful Cali!!
