So we’ve just got back from a week away with the van, and thanks to the replies in this thread I got the Spare Safe before we left.
It’s a Baboon thenI see the red blob as lipstick on my van (albeit at the wrong end). Gives it some character.
You can find it in Amazon. Shipping still not cheap, but it doesn't double the price at leastI'm put off by the high cost of shipping to Switzerland (about the same as the kit itself) otherwise it looks like a good idea.
Apart from the paint will fall offAbsolutely nothing wrong with the red one
Wrinkly red paint, now there’s a new lookMine’s still dog d1 ck red

Need an old red croc to be my towball cover.
Anybody got one ?
Now that's style. Red lipstick put the right way!
I would be more worried about that spring top left looks broken or damaged but could be the picture lolI really don't think anyone is interested in this:

And this picture is from 2019. The wheel looks way more ugly today.
It's waiting to self-deflate because of all the rust.
Perhaps someone in great need for a spare wheel, but not for the high value.
Oh, the tyre itself is from 2009. Good luck for the one that wants tosteelsteal my wheel.
I reckon you’ve got at least another 50 years before the rust is a problem on that rim. If I was nicking a spare I wouldn’t be looking at the date code just whether there’s any tread on it.I really don't think anyone is interested in this:

The sparesafe has nothing to do with the towbar. The sparesafe is the replacement for the primay nut that goes on the spare wheel. The spare wheel has two nuts, a primary one to the right, which you remove and a secondary one (the left one) which you do not have to remove, instead you unhook the wheel caddy from the secondary nut. Remove the primary nut and replace with the sparesafe.Hi all, can anyone tell me where to put my spare safe on please when I have the tow bar ready on? I’m a bit confused where to put the lock. Many thanks
