Starter motor packed in 2014 180 biturbo

Hi all, starter motor has gone on my California after almost 90k, there seems to be a number of starter motors listed for the T5 can anyone who had had to replace one point me to the correct one, also anyone done this as a DIY?

I think you'd have to check the VW number on your starter, and check that with compatibility of the one's for sale.

Starter motor now replaced. OEM part no was 02M911024CX, OEM part is made by Bosch so went for exactly the same Bosch unit. There were many much cheaper starters available but the reviews were not good, stop/start puts a lot of extra wear on a motor and did not want to be stuck again because I'd bought a cheap unit. Total cost incl fitting (1hour) by my local garage £375.
