Summer road trip to Italy

I fancy doing a two week trip to Italy in July; want to get there/back quickly so that we can maximise time in the sun. Looking at the North Eastern or Eastern costal area. Does anybody have an itinerary and/or route please?

Hi. I always go this way. Calais to speyer Germany. The transport museum there as a nice campsite which is open 24/7. A good place to get some down time, shower and shopping. From there I drive to bassono del grappa, there is a nice campsite there used by hang gliders, again good showers etc. From here its an easy run to Pompeii. I return much the same way.F

Hi! We started this autumn from Munich - Innsbruck - Brennerpass - Milano/Vero a- Venice/Chioggia - Piran (SLO) and back again. Summer/July is super busy however I guess you know that. Did you consider Croatia as well?
