T4 California Roll Call

Let Google translate it. The translation works really well.

Liking the stripey awning!

dan

Its an EeziAwn 2000 3 metres wide!!!! Its a solid piece of kit and normally seen on 4x4 overlanders. I wasn't fussed on the stripes first but its starting to grow on me. If I recall stripes offer a compromise in terms of heat absorption and reflection, apparently that's why Zebras do so well on the savannah.

Looks like you're pitched up in Comanche country there? Tricky making a circle of wagons when you're on your own!

Nice colour. The best if I'm not mistaken ;)

On a lovely camp-site in Pabu near Guincamp, Brittany. Freschian Green, or something close to that.

Just upgraded the Gel leisure battery from the Sonnenschein SL 80 to an Exide ES 1350 (120ah). That was a tight fit. Gonna use the old battery as a portable power station. Considering using Anderson plugs to simply plug in the battery to the exide and having 200ah available when extended wild camping. :bananadance

Why didn't you just add another similar size Sonnenchein? The box should take two side by side?

Don't forget to make the adjustments to the little switches on the back of the main control panel so it knows the type/number of leisures batteries you have connected ;)

Ron.

Now we should know the answer to that one Ron.....er........quite a lot?

I'm not sure what happens when we get more T4-ers than T5-ers? I think we launch a take over bid ;)

First step, renaming the forum. WestfaliaCaliforniaClub.com ;)

Click on User Control Panel. It's located in the light blue box just above the posts.

Once in there, click on the Profile tab.

Then click on the Edit Avatar menu option that is on the left hand side.

You can load a photo from your computer, or from a photo hosting site such as photobucket. You'll need need to resize the picture, it says what the requirements are when you click on the Edit Avatar menu.

hth,

Nice idea Dan althought I'm not sure we'll get away with it just yet.

I think we need to lay low until our numbers swell then stage a coup in the middle of the night.
We're going to need an IT specialist to "hack into the mainframe". We need to make sure our cunning plan doesn't go outside the internet!

Hi all,

Just become the latest member of the T4 Cali club! We purchased our California Tour last week and its pretty much spotless, amazing for a van that's nearly 20.

Already started a few jobs, last night I chipped off all the paint on the table rail and gave the metal a polish, looks so much better now as that was the only thing showing its age.

Will be taking the big fella on a surf trip to Norfolk on Friday, maiden voyage! Looking forward to the summer and hopefully meeting up with other T4 Westies.

Dan.

P.S. Hopefully the van will look like this at the start of the summer :D

Another Dan! Welcome to the revolution. The more the merrier.

Good to see you're camping on through the winter.

I'm liking the polished metal rail thing. I stare at that often trying to come up with a plan. :thumb

If I remember i'll take a picture and post it on here. Certainly makes the interior look a bit more modern.

Ron.

I think they're over rated to be honest Ron. I've been known to drive right through without a care in the world. Mountain bikes make a bit of a mess of the roof but, hey....whatever. :laugh2 :laugh2
