T5 bike rack owners advice welcome

Managed to find the original fitting document. It also has a schematic of the bike rack's arms.

Removed the bike rack arms, disassembled, cleaned, lubed with WD-40 re-assembled and put them back on the bike rack. I wrote about it here, including pictures, in case anyone ever wants to do the same. It was super-easy. Pictures just help in case you forget where each part goes ;-)

@ThomasHJ , it should be in the downloadsection now .
Try to download it if you like.
Strange thing is that i noticed now the brochure says T6 bikerack 2015 onwarts....
partnr: 7E0 071 104 A
The rack i bought is a T5 rack i assumed ? See pictures in post #15.
I never fitted it , it’s still stored in my garage since i got it .

@hotel california your bike rack as shown in the pictures in post #15 looks exactly the same as my bike rack. I drive a 2011 T5.1, so a T5 GP.

Interesting to read that you bought it so cheap. It really is a great bike rack. The greatest thing about it is that it's always on the van. So if you're someone who regularly wants to take bikes, it takes 1 minute to attach your bike and go.

we never ever taken normal bikes , Bromptons a few times .
funny that the instructions i got together with the rack from the guy a got the rack from says 2015 onwarts...but the drawings show a T5 and a T5 rack .
anyway , the rack stays off for now .
50€ was a bargain , could not let it go...

For 50€ I would buy it just as a backup. ;-)
