not used t6.1 for a couple of weeks. Got in it yesterday and a beep sounded when turning on ignition. Noted message on top screen saying pop top fault contact workshop highlighted in red, also warning triangle on the fridge and waste water tank. Also the screen was in German language, very odd! Changed back to English and faults still showing.
Booked it in straight away to be checked but after driving 10 miles . Parked up went to shop got back in started up and the faults had all cleared.
Will check again tomorrow and if ok will cancel.
Anyone else experienced this or know what may have caused it, was it a software update as unusual that the top console was in German I thought.

TIA

What’s the state of the starter battery ?

It started the van how else can I check the the state?

I am interested in the answer to this question as well. I can see the leisure battery charge on the high level display of course, and I have a cigarette lighter (12v) plug-in voltage reader too. I think that earlier California had one 12v socket (top of dashboard?) that was on the starter battery with the remainder on the leisure batteries: but I think the most recent T6.1 California’s may have all 12v sockets on the leisure battery.

Does anyone have a definitive answer?

The only easy way is to pop the hood and put a multimeter across the terminals. You could do from the fuse box if you know what you are doing, but the former easiest.

All 12V are now from leisure, inc the dash one.

Given the van started one doubts the op issue is battery. Could be a loose connection causing a restart or a software update glitch.

Given it’s ok for now I’d chalk it as something to watch. Hard to work out exact fault in reality.

i just know that i had similar with a previous car if it had stood for 10 days or so. turn on ignition and beep. sometimes would start others not - it ended up being the starter battery. thats why i asked the question.

Sounds like the leisure battery(s) had gone low rather than the starter battery and thus the camper side had switched off, hence the errors.
