T6 California Ocean Chrome Side Streamers

Does anyone know the VW part number for the side chrome streamers to fit a T6 California Ocean? I have the front bumper and tailgate trim and just need the side streamers. Looked at the aftermarket options and decided upon the genuine ones. Thanks

If you type "Chrome side trims" into the search function and then go to post 37, you will find a long missive by yours truly on purchasing and fitting the genuine VW chrome trim. Here is a photo of the invoice with part numbers but as to which part number refers to which part is anyones guess. The parts you are looking for are called "strip" on the invoice.

A good chap to ask is the parts guy at SMG Tonbridge. Chris sorted it out for me and gave me 10% discount on everything. Spendid chap.

Hi, just thought I would let you know that I have just ordered the exterior chrome pack from SMG Tonbridge. My local dealership (Liverpool) is not open for trim parts but Tonbridge are going to courier the parts to me and even gave discount . Thanks again for the info and advice. Cheers

I bought a set from a VW Dealer who was listing them on Ebay.

The ones that I received were for a nearside sliding door, not a simple swap side to side as the ends are profiled to match the rear arch. Some careful filing sorted the problem as they are stainless steel no rust worries.

I think that a LHD set would be perfect with RH sliding door. Would need sourcing from the European Mainland or a helpful UK Dealer.

Fitting them is a bit fiddly. It's essential to get it right first time as once they are on they won't come off. May I suggest a quick read of my previously mentioned post before getting started. I consulted a VW repair specialist to get the full fitting instructions before I fitted ours. If you want to discuss fitting then send me a PM.

What price did you get the chrome pack for in the end if you don't mind me asking?

Hi, I paid £480 for both sides and the tailgate (6 pieces) as the dealer had already fitted the lower chrome strip (3 pieces) on the front bumper.

Looks good though, looking at the options including the plastic looky likey’s VW do for under £100 which has been posted, reports don’t seem good though.
