Afternoon all,
I just purchased a T6 Cali (MY20); its low milage and in good condition, but I'm just in the process of trying to get it back to looking like it just came off the assembly line (I'm a little obsessed about it to be honest).
Anyway, one of the jobs is taking the VW "Disc" wheels from my Gen Six Caravelle, having them fully refurbished and putting on the Cali.
As anyone who has these wheels will know, whilst they do look great, the big downside is that they show up brake dust very quickly, like literally within 10 minutes after a good clean.
To try and combat this, I'm wondering if you can fit ceramic brake pads to a T6 Cali; not a full brake system replacement, just the ceramic pads. These type of pads create far less dust and the dust they do create is generally lighter in colour and a lot less "sticky", thus helping my wheels stay much cleaner for longer.
Has anyone done this?
Cheers.
