T6 Composite media connection point.

On my T6, the lead connection for the composite media is in the glovebox but below the composite head unit there is a a small compartment which would take a phone nicely but there is only a blank little panel above the cigarette lighter. The phone in the glovebox is a nuisance and I was wondering if anyone has successfully tranferred the socket to the small compartment blank?
