I thought I would put this on here for anyone who feels that they cannot justify the cost of replacement tambour doors.
The van is a 2005 SE and both doors were gone and one had actually split in two.
Very cheap and pretty simple repair that makes it more robust than when it left the factory.Library - 1 of 5.jpeg

This is the door with the two parts pushed together.

First task is cut a strip of repair material. I used an offset of thick flooring vinyl, which is very easy to cut. Width of the strip was around 38mm.

Next task is to drill pilot holes through the material and through the inner skin of the door. Ideally the screws want to be no longer than 10mm so they do not reach the outer skin of the door panel.i only had 12mm available, so doubled up the vinyl.

Finally cover with silver duct tape. The repair is inside the door so is not really visible anyway.
The best thing is that the doors no longer feels fragile when you use it and the repair cost is less than £1, so saving of around £179!
