Temporary seat covers

Hi. New to the forum but we have just bought a 2013 T5 California (advertised on this forum!) after 3 years of T4 ownership.
I really don't want to get a set of seat covers as I like the look of the VW fabric but there will be the occasional time when we have been cycling or paddleboarding and waterproof seat covers will be really handy. So I was planning on keeping in the boot a cheap pair of front "van seat" covers and similar for the rear bench seat for this occasional use.
Does anyone have any recommendations for this type of thing? If not I was planning on getting something like these: (I know they look horrible but it is only temporary)

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I bought the Inka seat covers - the head rests need to be removed first - and once done the covers fit on very easily and quickly - just make sure airbag sign is put on correct side.

Thank you for everyone's suggestions. We've gone for some cheap slip on waterproof covers for the front seats and a dog cover thing for the rear bench. We'll test them for a while but I suspect after yesterday's mudfest day out we may end up getting a full set of Inka covers.

My wife made some waterproof seat pad covers that pull over the seat from the top, a length of elastic goes around the front and round the back of the seat. We got the material to match the seat colour, cost £10 to make for all three seats
It's the seat pad that gets the hammer, never bothered with the seat backs, if they get dirty, clean with decent upholstery shampoo
We've also made a set in fleece material

I fitted the temporary seat covers at the weekend (and forgot to take a photo!). They're not great, but fit OK and for less than £30 I'm happy. They also pack down and fit in the tailgate with the chairs.
Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.

Had my Grey Inka seat covers now since new and got round to fitting them today as a couple of muddy trips on the horizon. They’re on top of the Alcantara which I have to say have stayed very clean. There are just the two of us, no dogs and we are pretty careful.

I picked up the covers at a meet before I got the Cali and I have to say I am impressed with the fit, especially on the rear bench and the the grey looks good on an indium grey.
