I do love the brand and have done for years ..having many very old and new dub's and being a show goer and club member i could say I have to have at least 1 Vw in the family at all times ... Lol
Dealerships ...They are like marmite.. I do love marmite ,so the dealerships at the moment are more like mustard to me which makes me feel sick at the smell of it ...lol ...
Trying to buy a new berghaus and have been struggling like hell. I know I'm not the only customer they have, but want to buy .....
They are a breed upon themselves

What's peoples views on dealerships these days or am I the only one ..????

My brother is a sales manager at a large Hyundai dealers and from experience they just see customers as victims or cash cows and the vehicles are just units or widgets, they mean nothing to them it's just a job.

Sadly regardless of the fact you are trying to spend the thick end of 50 Large matters not a dot to them.

Lol ... I'll agree with you there my friend ...:) ...they are playing silly children's play ground games at the moment and I don't like it .

Hi choplee,

Why don't you give Hugh in our sales department a call and have a chat with him about trying to buy a Berghaus. We may not be local to you, but we will deliver nationwide!

Please give him a call on 01403 839640

Thanks

Morning Alex .......thankyou for the input and help ..... I'm currently using smg tonbridge... It's the other dealers messing about ..
i may end up having to use one of them ... kids with toys and don't want to let them go . :headwall

Alex,

The problem is that there are no Berghaus of the right colour left at the docks and I believe only three unsold at dealers in the UK - none of which are willing to transfer them out to the dealer Lee has been using or any other.

So unless you have one, which from what I know I don't think you do then it's probably a dead duck.

I can understand why they won't let another dealership have the vehicle. Presumably choplee you have tried to deal direct with the other dealerships who have the vehicles?

Cheers

I agree but that's where it becomes more difficult. Lee has been offered a good price from a dealer based on their stock, sadly they don't have the colour. The other two dealers will know they are now in the box car seat and don't need to 'deal' to sell so it may not be such an attractive proposition.

I can see your point, but can also understand why they would not necessarily play ball with choplee.

Thanks

Other dealer will do a good deal on all their stock if done this month ,but don't really want to deal with them.. I have built up a good relationship with my dealer and trust them ( sort of ) lol

2 dealerships are still bartering about the berg and an se ... The se has a topper for bed and premium Bluetooth and works out about £500 less than the berg ... Same spec otherwise no mat or covers though ...
Which way should I swing ???
Not much in it

Berghaus perhaps. Box up all the camping bits to keep if you don't need to use them. Then again the extra cost could towards things you do need if you go for the standard spec.

I'd probably go for the SE then if it has a few extras over and above the Berghaus. Does it have awning and bike rack? If it doesn't that would soon eat up into your saving.

Equally if you were changing to 18" wheels then that should be considered.

So if those accessories are of value to you then it has to be considered.

It looks like a close run thing.

Can they deffo get you the Berghaus or is it still up in the air?

It's a deffo know at sunrise tomorrow ..It seems like a yes to me as they really want there other Cali ,as they have afew berg's ,but not 100%
