T6 Cali On Order
Hi folks, I am about to put an order in for a Cali Ocean, but the VW dealer I am currently with only does cars. I know that choosing the right van dealer is vital for supply and service. I am hoping to get it reasonably quickly (don’t worry I know how long the wait is) and the bigger dealers have slightly quicker supply, but also combined with good customer service and advice. Who would you recommend, not worried about the distance more about the company and the people?

Thanks,

David

Breeze Poole have been fantastic with me and great after sales service

Another vote for Breeze ordered mine in Jan hopefully picking up in April

Lol.... I think Breeze have approved but in 2015 they were poor. No call back, not once, not twice. Second bite of the cherry in 2017 and it was suffice to say the salesman put my back up within the first 10mins. Wrong facts, wrong detail , wrong name and then said go and get a price from another dealer and we're see if we can beat it. I dont do Dutch auctions and I dont like wasting people's time

Nothing but good things from me for Dave from Eurovans. They also happy to match DTD with no silly dealer games.

Depends where you’re located I guess, and if you want the lowest cost or good knowledge. We used Liverpool and couldn’t fault them, really know the product, and have a big throughout. But since this, we’ve dealt with Sheffield for servicing etc., and they seem to have good knowledge.

Another very happy Breeze customer here - ordered August 2021, collected March 2022. Great service all the way through the process.

This may help reduce the lead time

What great timing for you, ready just at the start of spring, well done! I had the opposite and had to take collection in Nov 22...still I can enjoy this spring and summer now so we all get there in the end :)

I would question your assumption, if it's that you have to buy your van from whoever you then want to service it. The two don't have to be the same.

I use a VW independent to service my van, they're conveniently local, know T5/6 vans very well and I know them well enough to know they'll always do a good job. Okay I accept they might not know so much about the elevating roof, but in the long term most service/repair issues tend to be about the base van not the camping bits.

Agree we bought through Eurovans. Not near us but always assumed we would find the best VW Commerical to service the Cali near us.
We have used several different ones. Probably the best was Breeze.

I’ve just placed my order with Tom at Breeze they matched the DTD price and I found their customer service excellent. I’m not local but buying through a recommended dealer was important to me.

I also think if California Time & Bus and Beyond off you tube specifically sold their cali's at Breeze, Poole, they must be doing something right. :)

Same for me I’m in Leicestershire so collection will be a day out I like that Breeze is active on the forum, as a forum owner myself I recognise what a precious but dwindling resource forums are for great info on the internet, Facebook groups only really seem to promote narcissism and useful historical info is lost very quickly

We bought nearly 4 years ago from Liverpool. One from stock, so not our spec, but highly specked anyway. We felt it was a good handover for us as ‘complete novices’ and the price was the going rate for the day, with some VW £1000 accessories thrown in. Travelled down from Glasgow by train and drove home through Liverpool’s pretty heavy commute time traffic, then motorway home. Distance has meant servicing and now MOT’s have been Glasgow and Edinburgh and coming up shortly Cam belt and Water pump. We so far have had no complaints on either.

I think everyone should place orders with Tom!...I certainly wish I had explored that route when I was ordering mine and through this forum , knew what I knew now :)
