Hi I recently took my T5 in for a service and was told that the tyre inflation canister was missing. I have not had to use it to date fortunately but have no idea where it is usally stored. Having had the van from new I dont know why it would be missing
any advice?
thanks
Caroline

Do you have a spare wheel? Slung under the rear of the van.

Mine from new didn't have a spare wheel, it came with
a handy compressor and a plastic bottle full of glue.

It was stored at the side of the bench seat, strapped onto it
in a styrofoam case.

I added the spare rack and wheel.

If you haven't owned the van from new it could be that
someone has removed it. Never mind, you are better to
get the spare wheel rack and then add a wheel.

If the gloop is the same VAG stuff that Audi and Porsche use it has a use by date and costs about £75!

Thanks for your replies. I will check out the side of the bench seat. As it has 18” tyres understand it didn’t come with a spare wheel! Nothing underneath the van and don’t think it’s been stolen!
Agree gloop not great would prefer a tyre

Food wise I'd go one or two days after the use by date,
depending what it is is I could go more.
I prefer the best before dates, leaves me wondering
how much better it could've been.

That glue could be like an old tube of silicone, rock hard.
I'll have a look at mine and see what its good for.

My bottle of VAG gloop appears to have a shelf life of 4years, currently 2 months past it’s use by ! Still soft!
