The tyre pressure warning light on our 2023 vw ocean came on showing a low pressure in the near side front wheel. on checking it was 39 psi ,checking the other Tyers I got readings of around 43/44 psi the van has recently been serviced looking at the door plate it says 54 psi for 215/60 r17c 109/107 Tyers has the garage set them wrong or have I inflated them to high?

The TPG, unless you got the upgraded one, just tells you a tyre is lower than what you set it at the last time you set the pressures.

It does not check the actual pressures. They could all be different when you set them.

Use the door plate as the guide on what yours should be and press set again on the menu.

Then monitor if it drops again.

I find it’s pretty good at detecting a drop and every time it has it’s been a slow puncture.

What size tyres have you actually got fitted?

215/60 r17c 109/107 standard Tyers that came with the new van
Looks to me that whoever set them last set them to the 103, which is 45. It’s not the end of the world really.

I’d be more worried that one has dropped on the monitor and look to rectify that.
