under bonnet protection

Am purchasing a california beach and noticed when bonnet lifted nothing was was on the underside of bonnet,every vechicle l have owned usually as some sort of protection / insulation, is this correct,please let me know all you beach owners

Normally that "protection" is just anti-vibration or noise reduction padding. On the T5/California you have a small bonnet less prone to vibration so no need of additional sound proofing.
