Upgraded headunit crackling/cutting out & breaking up.

I have had VW look at it, they know it’s an issue with apple carplay and the frequencies it runs at interfere with the sound.
Has anybody been able to sort the issue?
It’s the 10” screen headunit with out knobs. Some days it’s ok, other days constant, no matter what you are listening to.

I have never an experienced an issue with wired/wireless CarPlay in non VW units. Probably a case of VW software updates not keeping up with Apple.

Might be time to time to upgrade the unit, otherwise VW will just continue to blame a 3rd party.

No problem with either apps, wired or wireless on my Multivan.
 
Think OP’s van is 2014, so older unit
Well my 2014 California had the top of the range head unit available at that time and that was the RNS 510. Didn't support any apps, so it must be a different head unit .
