USBs not charging Phones

In a weird twist our usbs in the glovebox have stopped charging our phones when using App connect. Always worked fine in the past, just wondered if it was something simple before i book it into VW....

Have you changed the cable? What are the phones?

Had this one, ended changing the lead to an Apple lead, 3rd party lead woudnt work and car play kept dropping out.

Again - Check the cable, try with genuine apple lead (purchased from Apple), never buy a 'genuine apple' lead on Ebay / Amazon. They might work at first but may stop after a while (usually after a software upgrade).

Or look for a third party brand that is stocked in the Apple Store, as these will have been certified by Apple.

If you only have one USB app connect enabled USB try a long press of the head unit to reboot it.
If you have 2 App connect USB sockets, they have a separate fused supply.

Press and hold the power button on the media unit until the VW logo appears
