V230 socket operation

Hi all!

Been trawling the instruction manual to get my laptop running from the v230 (3-pin) socket behind passenger seat. No luck. Does the Cali really have to be mains connected to make this work?
The manual says so. I checked the fuse, that's ok.

Yes, the three pin socket is only live when you have mains hookup.

I use a 12v adapter for my Macbook in the beach, works well and more efficient than an inverter would be anyway.

I got this one. Currently unavailable on +amazon+amazon+amazon+amazon+amazon+amazon but in any case may not be the right one for your Mac but a starter for ten.
