Views on travel insurance for France

We still have in-date ehics, so think that we should only really need repatriation cover.
Does anyone know of a company offering this alone (without baggage cover, cancellation cover etc). It seems to be bundled-in to standard travel insurance only.

It all depends how old you are and how many in your family as the whether is worth taking out separate cover. We just took out cover with our Bank. It’s covers us for international trips for travel insurance plus European and UK breakdown. It was cheaper than stand alone health cover.

EHICS won't cover every aspect of medical cover. You may have an accommodation charge or similar for time in a French Hospital.

I used to have EHIC+ insurance (covered where EHIC stopped) but that was very quick to pull the plug when Covid struck resulting in having to go for 'normal' travel cover.

As always Insurance is specific to your own needs.
