VW California price increase from 3rd Jan 12

I've been informed that there is a price increase on new VW Calis from 3rd Jan 12...e.g. 4Motion 180PS DSG basic price is going up by about £650

Factory option prices seem to be unaffected

If you order before 31st Jan you may avoid the price increase :roll:

As far as I know, you have to order by the 3rd January, and it has to be registered by 31st March, to get the old price. Which is a right pain for me, as two of my new California's I've ordered, to replace my 2011 models, have build dates of week 13! They were ordered in September. Hugh from SMG is looking into it for me.

I was reliably informed that if the order is placed and accepted by the van centre by the end of the year,the order is 'price protected'

And I'm sure this is how it will end up. I've never been charged a new price, if I've ordered before the deadline.

I've just ordered 5 new vehicles for the rental fleet today, and saved myself over a grand on the new price, between them.
