Haf a glow plug error for quite some time already which was reported to local service and ignored.
On a recent trip from Italy check engine light added and power dropped down. Manual says to drive slowly to the nearest service, which I did stopping at Brixen.
The guy at express service told me they are too busy and they might be able just to check it in 5-6 hours.
Calling VW mobility assistance gave 0 results as always. They told just to drive to any service and wait there for repairs even for a week if needed. They didn't care where we sleep or how we get home.
Drove to Insbruk where guys were surprised why are we calling to book an express service. They told just to come and we'll be taken right away. Which they did and made a diagnostics within 5 minutes.
Most probably a well known EGR issue.
I don't trust VW brand, don't even rely on their mobility assistance.
