Hello! I live in Switzerland in St Moritz and i will buy soon a T6 California Ocean 204 4motion.
Sometimes i will sleep in the van in the winter too and the temperature can go down till -25.
I read somewhere in the forum that there is an interior cover that decreases thermal dispersion, i founded the Spanish web site where to buy it but now i lost it... Does anyone know something more about this?
I would really prefer the internal one cause you do not need to disassemble every time that you need to drive.
Thank a lot in advance!
Eugenio

Can any one suggest me e rally worm topper for my T6 Ocean? I will use the van in Switzerland and the temperature can go down at -30 :)

Thanks!

Hi, the Brandrup Internal topper or Comfortz internal topper will keep the damp out, reduce draughts and keep the upstairs warmer. An external topper fitted as well would help keep snow/ice out of the roof mechanism and also help with a little more insulation. I believe people have used these toppers combined with the heater to keep things quite snug in Ski resorts etc. You would be advised to ensure there is some ventilation to avoid condensation and stuffiness.

Can the roof open at such extreme temps? as Kave said he could not open his at -1
You have to read it again, -25 and a roofbox on a beach. But I dont think it is perfect to use a collapsible roof in really cold climate. I guess lots of ice can build up where the roof should drop down.

Does anyone know if you can get a quilted internal roof topper like this Westfalia one that my mate has bought for his Marco Polo. He says it’s lovely and warm up top with it fitted. The Brandrup and Comfortz Leisure ones don’t appear to be quilted.

I have an external topper but it’s a faff to fit. Especially when wet and windy.

I like the look of that but suspect that you would have to take it out to put the roof down.

Yes. He says you can raise the bed but not drop the roof but it easily installs with 3 clips.

Do the Brandrup and Comfortz one stay up permanently?

Yes the brandrup & Comfort ones stay in permanently.

But at least it keeps the canvas dry and in winter with snow and ice would keep that away from the canvas.

That looks very nice! We need more information....

My friend bought it from Westfalia through his Mercedes Benz dealer for his Marco Polo.

Do Westfalia make accessories for the T5 / T6

don't Mercedes own westfalia now ? maybe that's why

Westfalia is wholly owned by Rapido the French motorhome group. Mercedes have no ownership.
