Water in boot??

Just an update on this in case anyone else has had the same issue - our van has been thoroughly water tested at the dealer and no leaks have been found - so the source of the rain ingress is still a mystery. Window drains all working fine. As it’s only in one corner of the boot and is intermittent we are going to live with it and put a tea towel there! Not ideal but preferable to speculatively taking bits of the van apart.

You could consider getting a cheap camera (on batteries for example) and placing it in the van pointing towards the spot where you find the water. You could also point it toward the tailgate or any other spot you guess the water could be coming from. Place it just before you expect serious rain (seeing you're in the UK, just start now )

That should be able to tell you where the water comes form and what parts will need replacing.
