Water Tap Spray Nozzle

I have a May 22 California Coast. The spray nozzle on the tap came off which I found in the Kettle. Has anyone else had the problem where it has come adrift ? It looks threaded, but cannot screw on as there is a strip of vertical metal that has to engage first. I was considering using a glue to stop the water pressure forcing it off again. Any ideas ?
