Weirdest Campervans

Yeh - I've seen them in the US but in the UK it's a little large for the Highland roads! Also very ugly.

I would genuinely rather have the Mazda Bongo. It looks like a missile Launch Control Centre, horrendous. Would you not feel a tad conspicuous arriving in that? Please don't tell me there were only two people in that.
Didn't see anyone and vehicle never appeared while we were there.......I was hoping to see what was towing it!

We were at Gairloch last week and saw this humungous thing - sadly didn't see what was pulling it

Oh Boy! Those things are all over here in California! They are everywhere! They are convinced bigger is better. They cluster together at campgrounds and all run generators at the same time. I've been to casinos that allow these to camp. Sometimes there are more than a hundred together. My T4 is like the little ugly peasant in their view. It's something you cannot unsee!

I had a good laugh at their clothes!

From Wikipedia:
The Vixen was a recreational vehicle designed by Bill Collins and built from 1986 until 1989. A total of 587 Vixen motorhomes of three different types were built: the Vixen 21 TD (1986–1987), Vixen 21 SE (1988–1989), and Vixen 21 XC (1986–1987).

Often noted as the "Driver's RV",[2] it has an exceptionally low center of gravity and wide stance for an RV. It had a top speed of 100 MPH, and claimed an average of 30 MPG using a BMW M21 turbo-diesel engine. Wind tunnel testing was used to create a completely smooth fiberglass exterior top and bottom, resulting in a drag coefficient of less than .30 for early TD models.

Looks like a slide up, instead of slide out. The slide up is bigger than the lower part. Ideal for bird watching...
