Yes, I agree that the Beach is indeed a superior vehicle because it doesn’t have mouldy condensation traps, as does the Ocean.Whilst its annoying, If anywhere, I would rather have the condensation form on the windscreen where it can easily be wiped dry, than the next common place which is the back of the under sink cupboards.
Water condensing in the cupboards ends up in a puddle at the bottom & isn't easy to wipe up.
You've got that round the wrong way - an ocean has nice sliding doors to give you access, the far inferior beach has permanently attached cheap plastic panels stopping access.Yes, I agree that the Beach is indeed a superior vehicle because it doesn’t have mouldy condensation traps, as does the Ocean.
Ocean: Access doors to the Damp that collected on the inside of the visible body work panels inside the van , when the lovely internal doors are open, (if they aren’t broken in the first place) & under the sink down one side (if no drawers fitted) and no access behind the Fridge & cheap plastic panels on the other ?You've got that round the wrong way - an ocean has nice sliding doors to give you access, the far inferior beach has permanently attached cheap plastic panels stopping access.
Deny it I will. Without a change in ventilation air changes, all the external screen will do is move the condensation around the vehicle. That’s just physics. And you have already posted that you do not fix the windscreen curtain in place, just let it hang vertically. That has the effect of {drum roll} allowing air to circulate across the inside of the windscreen.
The beading on the bottom of the windscreen curtain is designed to tuck into the void between windscreen and dashboard (T6 and I think T5).
No one is saying that good ventilation doesn’t decrease condensation: it does. Replacing a curtain on the windscreen with an external cover decreased condensation on the windscreen. Deny it all you like but it does.
Incorrect. Must have studied , or not, physics with Amarillo.Oh dear - I only just got back from work and this exciting condensation discussion has descended into squabbling (in later posts)!
My beer can example was to illustrate the point that the introduction of a cold surface causes and collects condensation. I would think that external insulation will keep the inside of the windscreen a little warmer, causing less condensation on the windscreen. This reduction in condensation is not equal to an increase in condensation elsewhere.
Number of bodies, temperature & ventilation do indeed affect humidity and condensation but they aren’t part of my reasoning here. I was purely stating that I disagree with your assertion that condensation avoided at the windscreen then finds elsewhere to condensate.
Check behind the trim panels. More of them in the Beach.Yes, I agree that the Beach is indeed a superior vehicle because it doesn’t have mouldy condensation traps, as does the Ocean.
You forgot about the heat from the fridge compressor and the ventilation due to convection currents .Ocean: Access doors to the Damp that collected on the inside of the visible body work panels inside the van , when the lovely internal doors are open, (if they aren’t broken in the first place) & under the sink down one side (if no drawers fitted) and no access behind the Fridge & cheap plastic panels on the other ?
Amarillo’s School was closed a lot of the time due to all the condensation the pupils were creating and the curtains did nothing to stop it !Deny it I will. Without a change in ventilation air changes, all the external screen will do is move the condensation around the vehicle. That’s just physics.
As I have stated before, but obviously not understood by yourself, the only thing that affects the level of condensation within the vehicle is the number of people and the degree of ventilation of the vehicle.
Internal blinds have no effect on the amount of condensation or it’s distribution, however they are fitted and External blinds have no effect on the amount of condensation, only the distribution.
Did you actually study Physics at school?
Show your working. Which part is incorrect?Incorrect. Must have studied , or not, physics with Amarillo.
Nooooo.... just when I've been waiting for a discussion about the concavity of the Cali windscreen vis a vis the Kelvin Equation.drop it now guys it’s becoming embarrassing or take it elsewhere on private chat
Should that be the Kevin Equation?Nooooo.... just when I've been waiting for a discussion about the concavity of the Cali windscreen vis a vis the Kelvin Equation.
No, can’t be bothered. If you can’t see the problem then there is no point wasting my time explaining it.Show your working. Which part is incorrect?
PS Studied loads. Not with @Amarillo. Every day is a school day though...
I’m really torn. Do I watch the England match or the Condensation debate.
Nooooo not yet, I was just getting ready to hold their coats.I blame @Borris for raising such a controversial thread !

You still don't get it!!!Deny it I will. Without a change in ventilation air changes, all the external screen will do is move the condensation around the vehicle. That’s just physics.

Maybe your son can help you out.You still don't get it!!!
And you still misrepresent what I have said.
Removing curtains reduces the condensation on the windows behind them.
I never made a claim about the whole vehicle - that is your misrepresentation - although I do think it likely that removing curtains will make some difference to overall condensation levels, assuming the vehicle is not hermetically sealed.
And yes, I did study physics at school.
