Aldi had seat protection & seat back organiser in the middle last night. Solves my rear seat issue.

Was a little scary fitting it, would definitely be easier with two people like they advise but turned out perfect
Copied you again and bought the bonnet guard and Matt black badges… but couldn’t resist Stu@rt’s suggestion of Plasti- Dip.. £11 from Amazon. So just gone initially for ‘Plasti- Dipping’ the front and rear badges and the two chrome grill strips and see how it lasts. Doesn’t look too bad but tedious taping then layering coats with the half an hour wait between sprays.

May have to get some dip as I’ve only put a bit of black electrical tape on one silver grill.
Keep us posted on how well it stays on.
Looks great:thumb

I’ve just finished making my traveler guitar. It fits very nicely into the wardrobe too….. just!
Apologies in advance if we share the same campsite, and I drink, then get all musical.

That’s beautiful. I’m learning the ukulele and even when I’ve not had a drink I get musical. Funny though, I’m the only one who thinks so! Not taken it camping yet, but we go to a lot of folk festivals and they’ll be very supportive (my hubby thinks I’m delusional). o_O

I bought these spring clamps for a DIY job 2 years ago, and since then they’ve always been with us on camping trips. SO useful - especially in the awning. We bought a second set this year and they all get used, from lamps to super strong clothes pegs. You can buy cheaper on Amazon, but all I can say is that this brand has legs from our experience.

“C” type shower rings are really handy for hanging things in the van and in and out of the awning. You can link them too to form a chain. Cheap as chips also.

That’s so very kind of you.
Personally I’m really musical , I’m the best, as long as I’m in my room on my own with the door closed. As soon as the door opens it all disappears!
If you can, get out and make the campsite a brighter place. Enjoy your ukelele

20220523_200434.jpgBike tent - £40 from Halfwits, supposedly waterproof - extra storage when parked up for our trip down to Italy next week.Takes 3 mins to put up (apart from pegs) and packs away small enough to fit in the 'long load' gap next to the bench seat drawer. We have a driveaway air awning but this will a) save us room in the van and b) save lots of time with putting up/packing away. Fingers crossed for good weather!

We carry a set of the exact same ones with us.

Really handy to have.

algor can i ask what this does to the van please , what sort of ride do you get from fitting aftermarket ones , would love to know thank you
Where to start... Less suspension movement when pulling off and under braking, better handling especially noticeable on roundabouts, it feels smoother and more planted, deals with speed humps and pot holes with less drama. I chose a set up that got rid of the rear end sag and I am getting better traction from the front i.e no wheel spin. Some will say that this makes the van not level but I haven't noticed this and what camping pitch is completely level anyway. CRS have a lot of different shock & spring combo's available and will set it up to exactly how you want it, they happily changed the springs twice on the front as I thought the first set Was a smidge too low. Mine is a daily driver so it was it worth the cost for me.

CRS did have a demo van you could try, not sure if they still do, although it maybe a more extreme set-up i.e lower than perhaps you'd like. As @Algor has said there is the opportunity to tweak what is done, Steve is very helpful.
