I bought my first Cali asset! And my Cali is still years away i am afraid. :)

A bivvy light NGT. Has a magnet in it so i can place it anywhere i like. 4 settings, remote control.

More for nightfishing now, but seems very handy to have on board in the future.
I like your thinking, Turschipper.

Forever buying stuff...

Latest purchases include; Skubb boxes, Kuggis boxes and flexi chopping board from ikea. Also two of the little white boxes from ikea can hang in the wardrobe. A bin from Home Barhains that fits perfectly behind the passenger seat for £2!

In my Amazon basket sits a large piece of Vetbed (will probably purchase to protect new carpet against the mutts) but also want washable rugs to protect the carpet from our walking boots when we don’t have the mutts.

We bought the carpet to protect the floor and now I’m trying to protect the carpet lol o_O

Oh and hubby bought new number plates!

Yes, gel resin number plates that ‘look nicer’ and have his Welsh dragon on.

And he laughs at me for my interior purchases...

I did loads of research for mats and found Marvel Mats. Available online or in Dunelm. They’re dirt trappers (a shake gets rid of dry dirt), machine washable, rubber backed but fibres are locked in so it can be cut and won’t fray. I got the 80x150cm (only £30) for the living area and cut the end off. The offcut went between the driver’s and passenger seat.

My intention was to use it to cover the floor before getting the fitted Cali carpets but I like it so much I’m gonna stick with the Marvel Mat as it’s simple to roll up but best of all, easy to clean. I’ve got the blue stripy one, looks great in the van.

Approximately a third of your life is spent under a duvet. It is worth getting a good one.

We took two away with us on our European tour. The boys managed to destroy one by pushing it up against a gas fire when we stayed in a Sicilian farmhouse - fortunately the down is clearly well treated with a fire retardant but it was a scare. These new ones are replacements, so we now have three: two 3.5 tog and a 7 tog. It gives us a multitude of options for home and van, but one 3.5 tog will remain in the roof cavity. Unfortunately, due to the buttons and button holes, we cannot combine the two 3.5 tog duvets so we have two 7 tog duvets so the choices are two 3.5 and a 7 or a 3.5 and

Scary stuff Tom. Good to hear that they are fire retardant!
I think that mine is a 10.5 and it seems to suit all seasons. I never feel cold at night. Even in winter I bring the upstairs bed down, close the shutter and have never had to put the heater on at night. In summer just expose some limbs and cool down. Can’t inagine sleeping under anything else.

Wobblesmum, what white Ikea boxes are you hanging in the wardrobe? Do you mean the Skubb ones from the 6 box set that won’t fit in the under bed drawer, or some others?

Thanks Elly. I think I have these in the house and didn’t realise they did them in a larger size. I’ll take a look.

I’ll take a photo of the white boxes later. They are plastic, and little with a lip on the back. No idea what they are called - found them in the kitchen section.

Hi Wobbles mum. I already have those ones in the wardrobe, they’re “Sunnersta”. They don’t do another size. I thought you might have meant the 2 small kugis boxes that belong to the set that fit in the underbed draw (the 4 big ones fit the draw and the small square ones are spare). Thanks anyway. :)

Bare in mind that the fire retardant chemicals depreciate if you wash the quilt.

Thermometer for the lid of my Cobb oven/grill. It has a wing nut so it can be attached through a hole in the dome lid.

The fact that we are all still alive proves that we are a truly unhygienic family that never washes duvets!

I always think a good shake and air outside on a nice fresh day is enough.

Well, the thread for the wing nut doesn’t fit through the new Cobb Premierre Air vent holes. It can though sit on top.

It will fit the ordinary Cobb dome lids, just not the new adjustable lid for the Premierre Air.

May just keep it for my old Cobb (it was only £7 from amazon) or file down the thread as I didn’t want it on permanently anyway. Just a pain when lifting the lid if it’s loose. I’ll have to see if there’s an alternative.

LOVE it, great idea,

Much better than my wardrobe light which comes on but doesn't go off unless I slide the shutter back and press the sensor button. A common fault I understand but very annoying and not worth taking it 45 mins to a dealership until I have a few other things or a service to do.
