hope it helps if you are looking at something similar.

Cheers

4 x Michelin CrossClimate 2 235/55 R17 Y (103) for my T6.1 Ocean. Well, I bought them on Cyber Monday from Blackcircles, but they were fitted today. Will give them a proper run out at the weekend.

Question? I have a Ocean 6.1 this years reg and a solar panel fitted and as I live in a terraced house I park on a street away from my house. Reading the posts about you should hook up to the mains to keep the batteries in peak condition has got me concerned as I have no way of doing this and my pride and joy is sitting idle this Winter...any suggestions?

does your solar charge leisure and starter or just the leisure Batteries?
if the latter, you could upgrade the system to do all.
otherwise just take it for a drive every 3 weeks.

If your solar system isn’t set up to charge your starter battery @Cali uhuru you could perhaps use a cheap ‘battery maintainer’ plugged into a 12v socket and laid across your dashboard?

Just got our seats retrimmed by DK Schweizer. Really pleased with the results. Door cards and the little panel at the back also retrimmed. The lighting in these photos don't do it justice as it is a bit more subtle in real life and tones with the interior table and trim really well. Air bag compliant. Fitted in about 4 hours.

Thanks for the info Loz I am told the panel charges the leisure battery and GrumpyGranddad came up with a solution that will do the trick
Thanks

Got a neat MagSafe iPhone holder from the online emporium.... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08XYQDGHP/?tag=eliteelect-21

It's decent quality, and ideal for MagSafe charging iPhones and the magnet seems powerful enough. It will also work with other phones using a stick on magnetic ring which is supplied. I like it because I now have a safe place to hold the phone whilst wire connected via the usb-c slots to CarPlay and get best quality sound out of the audio set up. Previously I couldn't find a sensible place to keep the phone. Stuck to the dash in a convenient spot with 3M tape (also supplied).

Long story but due to an error by the supplier of the Thruxton Grill Strips I bought recently, I was offered the Thruxton splitter at a massive discount so treated the van to an early Christmas present. Now just waiting to fit it. The grey van pictured has the same one fitted along with grill strips. I like the look.

Nice - was it colour matched already or did you have to get that done?

Out of interest @GrahamB do you find audio quality better with a wired connection rather than wireless? I use Carplay wirelessly and it sounds fine (mind you my 70 year old ears might be a little less discerning :) )

The supplier sprayed it @GrahamB
That was their mistake, they sprayed the splitter in error instead of the grill strips i’d ordered and as it’s one of the more unusual colours, rather than it sitting on their shelves for evermore, they did me a very good deal :)

Yes it is definitely better wired. CarPlay over Bluetooth is good enough, but if you compare them back to back you notice the degredation in sound quality with wireless. There's more information (e.g. instrument separation) and openness to the soundstage with wired connection. Better still if you use lossless downloaded files rather than streaming.

They’re just been following you on here and knew you like buying stuff for your van so got it ready really :thumb
Looks good.

For adventures out with the grandkids. A rubbastuff lightweight, waterproof picnic blanket/map. On sale on their website (rubbastuff.com) at the moment for £39.99 (down from £54.99 and on the Ordnance Survey website for £49.99).

With a size of 240cm x 140cm it'll also double as a handy lightweight blanket.

They also do different sizes from small 1 person sitting mats to XXL. Some lovely designs and some with OS maps printed on. I found a coupon on the Internet for 12% discount that actually works at the moment https://www.couponbirds.com/codes/rubbastuff.com?key=24999760985356&attr=cw5dhku=h-kt4c=lqdrw3mkywlmlom
