Where to position electric kettle when in use

Hello all

Can I ask everyone where do you put the electric kettle when in use on hook up. It is the one thing that is driving my wife mad we have tried on a tray on the turned round passenger seat, on the glass on top of the sink, on the floor, none of these seem to work for her.
Any other suggestions thanks.

We use floor, or if dry outside on table

We use it on the floor, on top of glass cover and sitting in the sink as needs dictate
Empty sink of course lol

We normally put it in the sink - with two kids and a dog it is pretty much impossible to knock it over in the sink.

On top of the fridge with cable routed behind the open cooker lid.
