We have had a summer in the UK like this once before - in 1976.
Add up all the 6's from 66 & 76 and you have 18 (2018 is this year of course).

A decade apart 60's and 70's so lets employ the the 6 & the 7 this time which add up to 13.
As stated in the media the quater finals teams have either 6 or 7 letters which again makes 13.

Not sure about that Kyle bloke, but, England looked great whilst beating Sweden, Lewis claimed pole at Silverstone and Rae took the first race at Misano. It WAS a good day for British sport.

A brave campaign and exceeded my initial expectations. In the end we fell short of what it takes but can take nothing away from their effort and achievement for such a young squad.

I feel gutted but not let down. They gave everything they had. I’ve enjoyed this world cup so much. It’s been great so far.

I don’t think that we were outclassed, it could have gone either way. We should have finished it within the first 20 minutes. But they are a young team with a good manager, so they will be back.

It was nice to watch a game without all the rolling around on the ground.

It is just so nice for once to feel a team has tried it's best, had periods of producing exciting football, has given honest endeavour and has been led by a manager who has shown the highest levels of decency and integrity throughout the tournament.

After years of jaundiced resignation at the vision of overhyped, overpaid, overblown ego's coming home before they've even had time to unpack their bags it was nice to see a side of limited expectation produce football worthy of the name.

Massively disappointed last night but so proud of the team and what they've achieved. If someone had told me before the tournament that England would be just 20 minutes away from the final I would've thought they were mad!
Such a young and inexperienced side, they did brilliantly even if they did get a kind route through the tournament. They've restored my belief in the national side, let's hope they can kick on and do it again at the euros.
