Green air sticker

Hi going to Germany soon receive my green air sticker, just wondering what side of the windscreen it goes on driver side or passenger side.

It's on the RHD driver side, LHD passenger side. If you stay outside in front of the bonnet of your Cali, it is on the left bottom corner of the windshield.

Some years ago I stuck mine on the bottom right of the screen when looking from the inside. This matched the left-hand drive requirement stated in the paperwork.

However, since then I have heard that right-hand drive vehicles can have the sticker attached to the lower left side of the screen when viewed from the inside, i.e.in front of the passenger.

Can anyone confirm this?

I think you are safer locating it where the Germans put it ie bottom right from the seating position. Germans love consistency and having them all in the same location facilitates checks. Putting it on the other side would require the checker to walk closer to passing traffic.

what about parking ticket/receipts? I always put them on the dash above the instruments i.e. on the left.
Walking closer to passing traffic it's just their occupational hazard.

Maybe they just like conformity then cos thats the only place I see them stuck in Hannover.

Wo muss meine Plakette angeklebt werden?​

Die Umweltplakette muss auf der linken oder rechten Innenseite der Windschutzscheibe angeklebt werden. Ob oben oder unten, spielt dabei keine Rolle. Hauptsache: gut sichtbar!

Where must my sticker be affixed?​

The environmental sticker must be stuck to the left or right inside of the windscreen. It does not matter whether it is on the top or the bottom. The main thing is: clearly visible!

In Frankfurt and in Munich also, I've been here 13 years , always seen them on the bottom right (LHD passenger side)

I also have a French one.
I stuck it above the green one.
Its okay just to have it anywhere in your windscreen at the moment.

German law says it must be affixed to the inside of the windshield, clearly visible from the outside, and not impairing the vision of the driver. So RHD passenger side would be fine. I have the sticker top centre, out of the way behind my rear view mirror.

For the French sticker I believe there is a rule concerning positioning, it needs to be in the lower right-hand side corner.

Hi, I just did a Google search for Berlin green air sticker. You’ve got to send them a picture of your V5 to verify what kind of sticker they will issue you with the cost was €5.95
