Sat Nav Update

I'm all set up and have been getting updates for the onboard software etc., but had an email from VW recently on how to update the Discover Pro Sat Nav, I was directed to an online PDF manual which suggests that I need a 32Gb USB C memory card etc. to download and install directly/ In the manual it also says that "You also have the option of updating the navigation data online".

Has anyone done this either way and is it straightforward enough?

If you have a current We Connect Plus contract then it should update automatically.
What's your current SatNav map version?

I think van says no updates but wasn't sure Sat Nav was part of that?

You have the latest July 2025.
For the SatNav is done as you drive. No Notification, unlike System Updates, some of which are installed when Parked only.
