Sorry to hear that.Managed to bend the rear hinges when opening the rear hatch with a bicycle on the rack. So, what to do? Anyone having experience of fixing this, I search the forum but could not find the same issue discussed.

If you are going down the DIY route, when removing the hinge I would support the roof from inside, when opened , to stop it dropping on that side BUT also have strap over the roof and under the vehicle to stop the roof going up due to the upwards pressure of the hydraulic cylinder that side when the scissor hinge is unbolted. Thanks, will check insurance tomorrow. If not covered I'll try the DIY route and leave the hinge with a shop to straighten it out, and see how that works out. However, there might be hidden complications with the scissor mechanism being under tension or something, looking for experience here.
It should be fully opened? Can't do that in the garage, up to 1/3 I guess. Could it be closed again to drive back into garage without the hinge? If you are going down the DIY route, when removing the hinge I would support the roof from inside, when opened , to stop it dropping on that side BUT also have strap over the roof and under the vehicle to stop the roof going up due to the upwards pressure of the hydraulic cylinder that side when the scissor hinge is unbolted.
I would have thought it would/ should be fully open to remove the hinge and I wouldn’t try to close the roof until it is replaced. You could just leave it up with a Topper on or a tarpaulin over the roof.It should be fully opened? Can't do that in the garage, up to 1/3 I guess.
