Can anyone recommend a good garage around Central Switzerland?

We've got a 2020 T6.1 beach and have been having problems with the leisure battery and power management hardware /software for a while.

The leisure battery's definitely shot now. I wouldn't want to replace the leisure battery without making sure the chargers working and the software's OK. I've already tried 2 VW garages in the area, both have no idea about the leisure power workings.

Cheers!

VW Customer Services for Switzerland?

AMAG Zug in Cham has a lot of experience with the servicing of California's. I bought my California here and was very satisfied with maintenance service they provided when I lived in Switzeland...

Indie or franchise?
Either is perfect - also non AMAG is good if they have the skills and can handle the leisure software.

Thanks @Pollewop. I'll have a look.

Thanks. I know how to find a list of franchised garages. I'm looking for a recommendation for a good mechanic, who also knows something (anything even) about the leisure power set up. Neither the AMAG in Nidwalden nor AMAG in Buchrain know anything about the leisure power set up, even though Buchrain installed it initially.

Both had great mechanics until a couple of years ago, who left. The guy who left Buchrain said elec vehicles need less maintenance and what is needed is less complex, so he jumped before being pushed. The other who was great went to Tesla (before the whole crazy started). It seems a trend, the mechanics with get-up-and-go, seem to be getting up and going. Maybe Zug is the answer though!

I use AMAG but in schinznach bad, however for electrical issues I normally diagnose myself, my T6 had a strange issue where it was not charging leisure battery while driving but did on hookup, everything else was fine, turned out to be a missing fuse, not blown but completely missing, on my T5 it was not charging on hookup but otherwise ok, didn't want to remove the panel so use a ctek charger plugged into internal socket

I can't suggest a good garage in Switzerland except to go to a major VW concession. What I can tell you is that after almost 18 months of recurring battery problems, 5 calls for assistance, 3 replacement batteries and 5 visits to major VW concessions in 5 countries, I spoke to one guy in Nuremburg (the receptionists initially refused to allow me to speak any of the engineers), he told me to only buy a battery supplied by a VW outlet. The guy from Alberta Canada (with the fabulousT7) told me this is because they have a chip which is coded to the VW software. Off-the-shelf batteries do not have this. Since that Nuremburg visit in July, all systems are fully functional and I have had no problem at all.

Hello, I live in Switzerland in La Chaux de Fonds, there is a garage here that would be suitable as he works with camping cars and VW buses especially electrical issues.

Do you have a particular problem with your Cali? I recently had an electrical problem with the leisure battery (devices detected low voltage too soon) and, after 2 visits to my AMAG in northern Zürich, they were not able to find the issue. Only after this forum provided me the answer I could go there and told them what and how to fix (with the proper TPI).

In the future, for something serious, I might try Melzer in Jestetten (DE) though it might be a bit far for you.

Just want to add to this, there is no chip on the battery itself, but the battery type/capacity needs to be coded in the ecu for correct charging so if you replace with another type or capacity you need to recode it, took me a bit of time to find the right code lots of info online but easy to do if you have a cable or compatible programmer
