Peter Young (verified owner) –
After a very humid night sleeping downstairs in the rain and desperate for better ventilation I decided to try this. Not used in anger yet (and not even removed the protective film) but the principle seems good and it seems very well made. Dropped a star because it’s very expensive for what it is, it’s very big and awkward to store, and it really could have done with some simple fitting instructions. I know this sounds silly, because it really is simple to fit assuming I’m doing it right – however it’s got two runners at the top section which will JUST both fit together in the rail of a 6.1. However the fit is so tight I was worried it might get stuck (and nearly did), leaving me to conclude that you’re meant to only use one (the big one) for the 6.1 and presumably the other one is for an earlier model or different vehicle? Something saying that would have helped. With just 1 runner in use, it can be fitted very quickly and easily. For storage, I picked up two luggage tensioning straps and have strapped it on the underside of the boot shelf – this seems to work ok and keeps it safe and out of the way.
