No jokeI read somewhere that the £5000 fine works out cheaper than a family holiday in Centre Parks. I’m not sure if it was a joke.

And breakfast would be included + Wi-fi & Tele, kettle , tea & coffee.Existing booking I have at the quiet site is being 'honoured ' but with an additional 30 quid price hike. Equating to around 30%. I allowed them to keep my 90 sheets and rebook later then they go and do this to me. A price hike is fair enough but I think original bookings should be honoured at the original price paid. But that's not the case in this instance. I will be having a 'chat' with them about this. Its Getting to the stage where its cheaper to park in hotels and go get a sodding room!
Yes per person, no good turning up with a 40+ seater coach full of friends to split the cost....is the £5000 fine per group or per person?

I'm sure they are, but how many of the complainers have lost income over the past year? Or, as is the case for many who have been able to work, or are retired, made money or increased their savings over the past year.I tried to rally the locals back in 1999 to have the local private carparks bought back under compulsory purchase and run for non-profit...
Didn’t get much support at the time, because it was just locals trying to make a living.
Back then the price increased from £3.50 a day to £5. Think Puts was £6.
I bet it would get some support today. The locals are seething about the increases...
Price rise coming in April, dealer would not even tell me the price of an in Stock van, stating that the current offers would end at the end of March. Then they would be told what the new offer is !So as VW have seemingly haemorraged money over dieselgate, what % increase might we expect in the near future when they presently have Cali order books bulging, and staycation holidays worldwide pushing demand ever higher?

Taxes, utility bills, rates etc; still have to be payed despite a revenue shortfall and yet the most vociferous complainers are those who have lost the least or in most cases have made substantial savings working from home and not spending on all manner of things.
They have around here because they have been closed and barricaded during the lockdowns.Believe me.
Beach carparks haven’t lost revenue in 2020...
That's a Home Office trial of a way to break the business model of criminal gangs putting Welsh people onto rubber dinghies and trafficking them across the Bristol Channel to seek asylum in Minehead. They have around here because they have been closed and barricaded during the lockdowns.

Not a bad idea. Not sure I would have the patience to gets it ready for each hire though.Perhaps hire the Cali out for a year?? Roads and expensive campsites rammed, doesn't sound like fun and relaxation to me. Get a return on your investment. Just a thought.
It definitely isn't now mateI agree, The Quiet site is not exactly cheap to start with.

Sounds lovely! Spent my honeymoon in the Lakes and feel our kids are finally big enough to take them for some proper hiking. Will need to look out for your site when we go.We’re not all out to rip off the campers, the site I work at, in Patterdale in the Lakes (a CL site) is still only 20quid a night, water, electric, WiFi, waste, a private beach on Ullswater and use of a laundry.
As you might guess we are pretty much booked out, would be nice to see a few more California’s in the future though
Reading what your all saying you would all be ok with rail fares going up 30% because the trains have been empty for a year! It's a bit sh1te when you allow someone to keep your money for a year for them to say oh by the way you owe us another 30 %. I suspect that booking of 26 people would be quite a huge price jump

I can understand the price hikes for new bookings, even if I don't like them, but I'm struggling to get my head around venues/sites, demanding more money from people who have already paid and agreed their bookings. I'm sure someone can explain where I'm going wrong but is there not some sort of breach of contract when they do this?and ...
I have a 26 person event organised in a Dorset hotel for September.
Even though I booked it at the end of the year, on the grounds my booking had not been confirmed due to Covid restrictions they have just slapped a 10% price increase on me. Everyone's at it, where demand exceeds supply claw back some of last year's losses. I can't blame them but I can curse them
On our site, self catering lodges and a small caravan site, all bookings are at last years prices, most carried over from having to cancel due to various C restrictions, next year I’m sure prices will have to rise, the costs for supplies, cleaning, building materials, extra labour cleaning time etc and many months of no incomeI can understand the price hikes for new bookings, even if I don't like them, but I'm struggling to get my head around venues/sites, demanding more money from people who have already paid and agreed their bookings.
