2005 Cali Fridge turns on (orange light), but after a few seconds turns off (red light and no fridge icon)

Help! We are heading to the continent in a couple of days and we have a fridge issue.

Press top right button to turn on, orange light comes on. However orange light and icon does not stay on and goes off after a few seconds. This morning it seemed to be working fine - orange light on console.

Does anyone have any ideas? Any idea how we could look for the problem?

Leisure batteries charged?
Fridge will shut off if voltage drops below 11.5v on Control Panel, as will the Parking Heater.

Bingo. Plugged in for 1 hour and fridge works perfectly. I am thinking batteries are done. They are original from 2007....................

Any recommendations as to good replacement batteries. Not lithium required.

Varta LA 80 or equivilent. Physical dimensions are important.
If you can wire a plug then easy DIY. Plenty of How to Replace threads on the Forum.

Just to confirm, I have exactly the same issue late last year in my 2009 Cali. New leisure batteries cured the issue. I got the same ones Welshgas recommends. It is a satisfyingly easy task to do as well.

Yea I had this issue, the leisure battery wasn’t holding a charge. New leisure battery sorted it.
