2016 California Ocean. I cant get any air from the front console centre vents.

Hi, I've just bought 2016 California Ocean. I love it! One query though, I've been playing around with heaters and cant get any air from the centre console vents. The side vents by the windows work perfectly. I've tried the climatronic reset, but just wondered if anyone knows if they are actually supposed to work from the centre or just blow ambient air with no pressure before I start taking the dashboard apart and looking at cables and blowers. I think it's a fairly well know issue with the center vents not working on T5/T6 vans.
If it's manual there are cables, cam controlling center vents that can fail.
If it run by climatic I think there are motors that can also fail.
