5.0 5.1 facelift

There's a huge aftermarket for bits & bobs of all descriptions for every generation of VW van. As the naming implies, 5 > 5.1 was primarily a cosmetic change & if the bits are out there then (some) people will do it. Many people have bought a Transporter & spent hundreds of hours and thousands of pounds making it their own & are reluctant to part with something that otherwise now suits them perfectly.

Definitely a £2-3K job to do it nicely - mirrors, grille, bonnet, headlights, bumper / valance etc.

Seemingly much less popular with Californias, which tend to remain much more stock - albeit often filled with an equal value of more 'removable accessories'

The mirrors are the same just 30mm lower so might as well leave them. I would agree that not often done to Cali's but if that's what you want then go for it
