Additional batteries were changed today the van centre did their tests and said the batteries were ok but happily agreed to change them as they were losing power with nothing running.Hope this is the end of the story

They perhaps got over discharged before you took delivery (not uncommon) which can cause them to fail to hold charge. Likewise if only one of them isnt very healthy it will have the same effect.
