Leisure batteries not charging on mains hookup

Good news James, make sure all those connections are tight. You can purchase a new rewireable IEC socket to fit to your cable if it is still long enough.

Glad it's sorted. :thumb
Thanks Larry that’s a good idea I’ll try and do that. The cable is a bit short, just enough to reach charger IEC connection point, but I think there is some extra length twisted up behind charging unit.

Should the RCB be showing green? My batteries stopped charging from site power between 2 campsites. Still trying to locate the problem. No power to the IEC pleg, no power on the 230V socket in the van. T6 Cali Ocean 2016. External cables OK, had the site power socket out and all cables are tight in their terminals. Still got to check whether power is getting through from the socket to the loom inside the van.

I tried everything on 2 different campsites. Just done another reset of the RCB and flipped it to Red (on) and now the batteries are charging on external power. Just the threat of this forum was enough!

The RCB should be showing RED - for Danger live circuit. Green will cut power to the vehicle.

Thanks Welsh Gas. I was wondering what the logic was. I'd have thought green for good and red for fault, but what you said puts things in their place for me.
