I have spoken with BOB today as by my calculation we now have 19 vans booked in!

They are currently out of hard standing pitches for the weekend but do still have a selection of fully serviced pitches, so if any others wish to join us then please contact them asap.

It would be best to call on 01202 876 968. As there are not many pitches left it will be difficult to do it online.

Not long now - I can't believe how quickly the last year has gone!

Aaaah we looked at this site the first week we picked our Cali - not too far away for a first trial break, and close to friends.
Didn't even realise there was a "meet" happening there.
Might see if we can juggle dates as it would be good to meet people and get any help we might need.

Yes do see if you can come! You will see a real selection of vans and be prepared to go home with a shopping list of 'must have' accessories!

I wouldn’t be so worried about being tempted at the CAMHC show as you will at the Cali meet with lots of Cali specific members fitted accessories!!! In fact save your show fees and spend them in the bar at BOB!

Following the success of the meet at the Back of Beyond near Ringwood this year I have agreed with the site that we hold another one on the weekend of 9/10th November 2024. This time of year suits them best because they are less busy. This an adults only site and is a member of the Tranquil Parks group. The facilities are excellent and the Blue Tides are playing again in the bar that weekend. There are lovely walks (albeit a bit muddy this year!) and a wooded area where you can let dogs off-lead.
This is an unofficial gathering so everyone should book their pitch directly with the site and put in the request box that you are with the California Club. Please also make sure that you book a hardstanding pitch as the astroturf and grass are likely to be waterlogged.
A well-stocked shop, freshly baked pastries for breakfast and visiting food vans (Thai, pizza and fish and chips) add to the enjoyment!
If you could post here when you have booked please I can keep a tally of numbers.

We won’t necessarily be parked together because they don’t officially allow ‘groups’ but it isn’t a huge site and we should all be in roughly the same area so just wander round and look for the Calis. Easily identified by awnings on the drivers side. Plus you will recognise quite a few from BusFest.
Should all get together in the bar in the evening too, especially Saturday when the band is on.
I will come and find you too.

No. In fact best we don’t because they don’t officially allow ‘groups’.
We will all be identifiable by the Cali badges and the fact that the awnings are on the drivers side
I will come round and say hi but please come and see me (white 2018 Edition RO18) and say hello. We should all be parked reasonably close together.
Then the plan is to get together on Saturday in the bar for the music. Probably about 5pm as it gets very busy.

My mum has an eye operation on Friday and wants me to drive to pick her up in East Sussex to take her to the hospital. I have told BoB that I will not be there for checking in and they are leaving my welcome bits for if I can make it Friday night. If not I want to get there for Saturday night if all goes well for my mum.

Unfortunately KevH is not able to join us this weekend so there is a pitch going spare and he has very kindly offered it to anyone who might be able to use it.
Could you let me know if you are interested and I will let you know how to get it transferred into your name.
